Kamal's dialogues to pep up cancer patients

Kamal Haasan’s recent Malayalam film ‘Four Friends’ in which he played an important cameo is put to benefit the people beyond cinema halls.

‘Four Friends’ is about four cancer patients who want to enjoy life to its fullest before the imminent death. In the film there is a much publicised scene where Kamal Haasan gives a pep talk on how he lost some of his close friends to cancer, and gives the four friends some confidence.

Kamal Haasan appears as himself in the film and talks how his friends from Sathyan master to Gauthami fought the disease bravely and came out of it. The widely appreciated matter-of-fact dialogues of Kamal Haasan from the movie are being distributed to cancer patients at the Regional Cancer centre, Thiruvananthapuram.

The nodal centre for treatment of Cancer patients has accepted the DVD of the scenes of Universal actor Kamal Haasan from the movie, for repeatedly playing in its television sets meant for patients and by standers, visiting the centre.
That’s what you call making meaningful cinema. It’s again Kamal who has done it.
